First Fun in the Snow

Well we finally got enough snow to actually go out and play a little bit. We pulled Drake around in his sled and Barney chased him and then stole his mittens off his hands. Maybe one day we will get enough snow to make a snowman.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning

We had a great Christmas this year. It was so much fun watching Drake open presents and play with the paper and boxes instead of all the toys that now reside in my living room. His eyes got big on Christmas morning when he seen what was in front of the tree. He pointed and did his usually grunt of excitement and quickly squatted down by his new train.

Visiting Santa and his Reindeer

The day after Drakes birthday party, Santa and his reindeer visited our local petting farm. So we gathered ourselves up, waited in a long long line and took some FREE pictures with Santa and his reindeer. Drake didn't know quite what to think of this bearded guy his parents just handed him off to. He didn't cry but he did make that classic Drake face when he is not pleased with the situation...but at least we got a few pictures.

Drakes Cowboy Birthday Bash!

We had Drake's birthday party on Decemebr 12th. We had another houseful of people but it all worked out really well. Drake enjoyed all the visiting and playing with his buddies and cousins. He got lots of fun toys to play with.

I Can't believe he's One!

I cannot believe my little man is all ready one and practically running around the house. He is walking and "talking" all day long. He is a busy, stubborn little guy who does not like to be told what to do. Hmmm...I wonder who that sounds like : ) We've decided that he looks like me, has a bit of Dave's personality (but not totally thank God), and he definitely has my temper, temper. It has been one great year of parenthood and I'm looking forward to all the fun adventures this next year holds to discover with him.

I had tons of fun taking Christmas pictures this year. I had the pleasure of taking Christmas pictures for Dave's cousins kids this year as well and I was honored to be asked : ) So here is a picture of the three of them. Although none of them are looking in the same direction, it is still a pretty cute pic. As you can see I couldn't help but take tons of pictures of my little guy this year. We did pretty good with the Christmas pictures but he was not too happy when I tried to take some 1 year old pictures. He would not still still...grrr : ) But I will get some good ones eventually. That is whats so great about being your own photographer. If as first you dont succeed, try try again.

Happy 1st Birthday to Drake!

I cannot believe my little guy is 1year old today. This year has gone by way too fast. I feel like it was literally only yesterday I was in the hospital. We had a mini birthday party for him tonight with the Grandmas. We had dinner, I made cupcakes and we opened a few presents. Drake didn't hesitate to dig into his cake but he was only slightly interested in ripping open his presents, until he realized there were toys inside!
