Finally...a new post!

What Drake's been up to?

Wow I can't beleive I haven't updated since March!!! I had too many pictures loaded into google so I was not able to upload anything until I deleted some. Well, that is an arduous task and I don't have the time. But finally I was able to get some space freed up. So a quick overview of what Mr. D has been up to since March. In May, we went to the Detroit Zoo. We had a photo shoot with Miss Lilah (more photos to follow, including Easter). We ate our first piece of watermelon and corn on the cob for Memorial Day. And, we made Drake a playroom. The last picture is him covered with stickers. I found him with the sticker sheet in his playroom and this is what he looked like.

Outdoor Fun!

Miss Lilah came for a visit the other day and we really enjoyed playing outside in the beautiful weather. Drake got this push car for his birthday and he really likes to be pushed around and honk the horn. Lilah liked pushing him around the patio. Drake also is starting to say a few words and when he and Lilah were playing together he clearly said her name. It came out more like "ay-la" but it was obvious he knew her name and was saying it. It is truly rewarding watching him learn. It amazes me when all of sudden one day he starts saying things or pointing to things that I had no idea he even knew.

Boys will be Boys

While out enjoying the great weather this week, Drake discovered DIRT! He just sat right down in it and started playing with the dirt and throwing it around and he even tried to taste it. I am kind of clean freak and came to the realization that I am in for a rude awakening this summer.

Finally Got to make a Snowman

I have been patiently waiting for some snowman worthy snow this year. Well I got my wish...sort of. The snow was almost too wet because when I tried to roll it it would just crack so we only got little baby snowmen but Drake still got the idea and I had fun making them anyways. We made one in the backyward that I'm sure Barney is enjoying peeing on, and one in the front. We also made snow angels but Mr. D was none too sure about laying down in the cold white stuff. While Drake and I played in the snow Dave was plowing our driveway and when we got inside I made us some hot cocoa. It was a fun night.

First Fun in the Snow

Well we finally got enough snow to actually go out and play a little bit. We pulled Drake around in his sled and Barney chased him and then stole his mittens off his hands. Maybe one day we will get enough snow to make a snowman.
